Sundarban Package Tour (Wildlife Tour—Not a Typical Picnic Party)

Sundarban Package Tour: Why Book With Nijhoom Tours

This page lists our 3-8 days Sundarban package tours. Unlike the traditional cheap picnic parties in Sundarban with a 40-70 people boat, ours are entirely wildlife tours on a small houseboat. Spotting as much wildlife as possible is our primary focus. We take our clients to places deep inside Sundarban where there will be higher chances to spot wildlife, including the Bengal tigers.

We use small boats with shallow drafts to go to small channels where bigger boats can not go, so we can see more wildlife. For starting from the edge of the Sundarbans, we reach the forest within 15 minutes of starting the tour instead of spending a half day on the river to reach the forest on the first and last days.

Unlike others, we use silent wooden rowing boats without engines to explore the small creeks and channels so we do not scare off the animals. For that reason, you see more wildlife on our silent boat trips on the channels in the magical early mornings and evenings, which are the highlights of our tours. The safety of our clients is always our priority. Unlike everyone else, we always use life jackets on the channels during boat rides to protect our clients.

We strictly maintain food hygiene on our boat on the Sundarban package tours, about which very few people here have any idea. So unlike others, foreigners getting sick from food poisoning is rare on our boat. Although we use a basic boat, we keep it clean and provide clean bed sheets, pillowcases, towels, and comfortable beds and pillows. We do not drive our boat at night, so our clients do not have to spend sleepless nights because of the engine noise.

We provide knowledgeable guides on our tours, who will be able to tell you about the wildlife and the forest. Unlike others, we have numerous positive reviews of our Sundarban package tours on TripAdvisor from our past clients who’ve had a great experience of the forest with us.

Last but not least, we have a great cook who will prepare some delicious authentic local dishes for you from his tiny kitchen during your three days stay on the boat, which you’ll hardly find in any restaurant. Vegetarian or vegan meals are also not an issue on our boat. Getting fat from the food on our boat is the biggest complaint we get on our Sundarban package tours. You’ll have a pleasant and memorable experience of the forest with us!

Reviews of our Sundarban Package Tours

Wonderful experience for anyone wanting to do something different

I did a six-day Dhaka/Sundarbans tour in January (adding another two day tours at the front and back) and was blown away in a pleasant way just by the experience of visiting the world’s fifth-most populous country. I have traveled to about 150 countries in the past 25 years, and this was a recent highlight. Read more “Wonderful experience for anyone wanting to do something different”

We saw a lot of wildlife on the small boat rides

Ronald H. Avatar

We joined 3 other travellers on a 6-day tour, the highlight of which was the 3-day boat trip in the Sundarbans. The food was very good, and Ali proved to be a very knowledgeable guide. We went on several rides in a small boat up inlets where we saw a lot of wildlife. We were the only people there. Read more “We saw a lot of wildlife on the small boat rides”

Road Less Traveled? Try Bangladesh

Qazi A. Avatar

Nijhoom put us on a small boat that cruised the narrowest waterways enabling closeups of wildlife on either bank. The small dinghy pulled behind, was used to get into further out of the way places. For nature lovers, and specifically people interested in the mangrove biome, there will be satisfaction. Read more “Road Less Traveled? Try Bangladesh”
